Hyderabad: In Twenty 20 cricket all-rounders are the utility cricketers. Their ability to contribute both with the bat and ball make them vital cog of their teams. With IPL is gearing up for a brand new season, here are five all-rounders who will be high on demand in the auction.

Ben Cutting

Australia all-rounder Ben Cutting had a horrendous last season with Mumbai Indians. Though his side won the IPL title, he failed to impress.

However, displaying his class the 32-year-old all-rounder took everyone by storm in Pakistan Super League. Cutting was at his best with the ball in hand. In the recently concluded T10 league, he played a vital role both with the bat and ball. Down the batting order, he holds the ability to play quickfire innings. Hence, his price may skyrocket when the bidding process start.

Sam Curran

Making his IPL debut last season, Sam Curran impressed one and all while playing for Kings XI Punjab. He took 10 wickets in nine matches that included a brilliant hat-trick against Delhi Capitals. He also contributed with the bat piling on some useful runs in the death overs.

Notwithstanding, Curran will be the target of many in the auction. Teams who lack genuine pace bowling all-rounder will go for his variations.

Chris Jordan of England has been in outstanding form.

James Neesham

Though Neesham went unsold last season he will be high on demand on Thursday due to his superb form. Since the 2019 World Cup, Neesham has been in outstanding form. He finished the mega event with 232 runs and 15 wickets. He was one of the contenders for Player of the Tournament award.

With Hardik Pandya and Andre Russell are yet to recover from their injuries, Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders could opt for Neesham as a replacement.

Chris Morris

The South African all-rounder had an ordinary season in IPL 2019. He played nine matches for Delhi Capitals and picked up 13 wickets. He also failed with the willow in hand which made Delhi pay a big price. He amassed mere 32 runs at an average of 5.

But, nobody will rule him out considering his talent and skills. While Delhi will try their best to acquire Morris' service other franchises will give them tough competitions.

Chris Jordan

The English all-rounder has been in outstanding form for the past two-three years. He has been one of the vital cogs of England's T20 team.

Jordan is well known for his variations. His pinpoint yorker and back-of-a-length deliveries often dodge the batsmen. Apart from bowling, he established himself as a hard-hitting batsman down the order. No doubt, he will be high on demand among teams who are in dire need of a quality all-rounder.
