Hyderabad: Riding on Sanju Samson's 55-ball 102 Rajasthan Royals set a daunting 199 runs target for Sunrisers Hyderabad here at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium on Friday.It was Samson's second IPL hundred. In 2017, he rose to fame by slamming 63-ball 102 against now-defunct Rising Pune Supergiant.
The wicket-keeper batsman has expressed that his team Rajasthan Royals has a quality team this year and will definitely win the IPL after 11 years. He believes that RR has some good players in all three departments of the game.
Also, the 24-year-old Samson, who has so far played only one international match for India, believes that if he gives his best then he will get a chance to don the blue jersey again.
- " I have been performing well since last three years in the domestic circuit and my current aim is to give my best in this year's IPL and win matches for my team.If I am able to perform consistently then I might get back into Team India," Sanju said.
Meanwhile, Rajasthan Royals, on Friday, will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad in their second match of IPL 2019 and the Jaipur based franchise will be eyeing to bounce back in the tournament after losing their opener against Kings XI Punjab.
