Kolkata: The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) has cleared payments of scorers, umpires as well as match observers with an 'Adhoc Advance' of more than 16 crore it received from the Board of Control for Cricket in India in May, President Avishek Dalmiya said.

As per the BCCI website document, CAB is among the beneficiaries to receive payments made above Rs 25 lakh during the month of May. An amount of 16,20,00,000 was credited to CAB as per the article on BCCI website for "Adhoc Advance for amount due to association as per Inv No CAB/01/20-21."

"We had provided the utilisation certificate to the board. And following which, an amount of 15 crore plus GST was given to us as an adhoc amount against the pending dues. From that amount we ensured that all the scorers, umpires as well as match observers were paid and all their dues were cleared," CAB President Avishek Dalmiya told a leading news agency.
