Mumbai: In the second season of the Netflix hit, Pankaj Tripathi will be seen as the elusive Guruji, who is also known as Ganesh Gaitonde's ‘teesra baap'. The critically acclaimed actor revealed the process he followed to get into the skin of the character at a presser in Mumbai.
Pankaj took media by surprise when he attended the press conference in his godman avatar and remained in the character through out the interaction.
Though the actor has never adapted the method of going into isolation to prep for roles but for bringing alive Guruji on-screen he tried doing it for the first time.
The actor remained tight-lipped about the plot however he shared some interesting details about his prep for the role.

When asked about his source of inspiration, Pankaj denied taking references from anywhere and said he was fortunate enough to get an author-backed role to play around.
Pankaj, who gets hailed for his spontaneity and natural acting, will be seen delivering a monologue that ran over 11 minutes in one take. The 'Stree' actor earlier said it was one of the most challenging sequences he has ever done.
The second season of 'Sacred Games' will open on August 15. It stars Saif Ali Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, with Kalki Koechlin, Luke Kenny, Ranvir Shorey, and Shobita Dhulipala among others.
