Los Angeles: Daenerys Targaryen may have the dragons – but she's not favorite to win the Iron Throne. As 'Game of Thrones' approaches its eighth and final season, fans are betting on who'll be crowned victorious – and the frontrunner might come as a surprise.

According to Amy Jones, spokesperson for U.K. betting specialist Paddy Power, Daenerys is "about the third or fourth favorite."

The current favorite, in fact, is Bran Stark.

"Bran, Jon Snow, child of Jon Snow and then Daenerys. And when we started this market I was like 'The smart money is on Daenerys, my money is on Daenerys. She's got the dragons.' But yeah, it's actually what's quite amazing is Daenerys is four to one and Bran Stark is somehow caught in there and he's the favorite," says Jones.

Bran Stark is not only the favorite to rule Westeros – he's also the most likely to be unveiled as the Night King, according to betters who've read fan theories.

"What's really interesting and now and this might link into who will rule Westeros is the favorite for the Night King is also Bran Stark. He is, we've seen a lot of bets on that and there's a lot of talk about online quite a lot of news outlets covering it and a lot of talk on Reddit, so it's something like, think it's around even money that Bran Stark's the Night King."

"The most likely people to die are Jaime and Cersei Lannister," says Jones. "Cersei is something like one to 50 odds on, pretty much a hundred percent."

an favorite Tyrion Lannister is also more likely to die than to live.

"Tyrion was something like one to two odds on. So around a 60-70 percent chance. I was kind of gutted about that. I don't know whether some of it is obviously people hate the Lannisters so they think, 'Oh I'll just have a fiver on each Lannister to die' and then we also have a market which is who'll be the first to die in the show."
