New Jersey: An A-list crowd attended the annual Veuve Cliquot Polo Classic held Saturday afternoon in Liberty State Park here. Among the summer-clad guests were recently engaged Jennifer Lawarence, Julianne Moore, Michael B. Jordan, Gayle King and of course polo superstar, Nacho Figueras, with his wife and fellow polo player Delfina Blaquier.
Lawrence, wearing a light pink dress, spoke about some of her upcoming plans including her role in the soon-to-be-released "X-Men:Dark Phoenix.
"I'm really excited for X-Men to come out," she said, adding "I'm excited about my storyline... I haven't seen it yet so I'm looking forward to that and then I'm gonna be working in the summer on the untitled film."
Also in attendance was actor Michael B. Jordan who said attending the event which is held in a park overlooking the New York City skyline reminded him of his childhood.
"I used to come here as a kid. My dad used to come here, like you know fly kites you know, barbecue, kick out the whole thing so to be able to come back to Jersey. I love the event," he said.
Figueras, who has helmed the event for years claimed, "it doesn't get old."
"I still get the chills every time when I play polo here and I look up and I see the Statue of Liberty and New York. It's it's an amazing feeling," he said.
Guests were treated to Veuve Clicquot champagne in the VIP tent as well as a performance of the national anthem by 'Pose' actor Ryan Jamaal Swain.
