Mumbai: The makers of the upcoming film titled Mamangam starring the South megastar Mammootty have released the official trailer of the movie on Saturday.
Amid much expectations, the two minute four seconds trailer has blown the audiences' minds.
Based on the Mamangam festival that took place in the 18th century on the banks of Bharathhapuzha in Malabar, the film trailer gave a sneak peek to what the film has to offer.
The actor is upbeat about the upcoming M Padmakumar directorial venture which is touted to be a war drama.

The story unfolds as it begins with Mammooty's voiceover that sets the intense mood of the trailer.
The trailer unravelled the incredible sacrifices of women for their men who are off to war. The scene shifts to the men in combat.
Eventually, Mammooty is seen surrounded by an army of men who stand defeated by his sword-fighting skills.

While Shankar Ramakrishnan is in charge of the adapted screenplay and dialogues, M Jayachandran has composed the music and Manoj Pillai took control of the cinematography.
Touted to be the biggest Malayalam film in terms of the budget and expense, the project showcases the martial art of Kalaripayattu.
Produced by Venu Kunnappilly, the historical period drama also stars Unni Mukundan, Prachi Tehlan and Abhirami V Iyer in pivotal roles.
Mamangam is a historical drama that revolves around the life of warriors known as Chaaverukal, who plotted against the Zamorin ruler to overthrow him.
