Mumbai: Bollywood stars Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon are being roped in for director Amar Kaushik's forthcoming directorial venture Bhediya.
Varun and Kriti who romanced each other in multistarrer Dilwale will be headlining Kaishik's next which is widely reported as "monster satire", a genre which is unheard of so far. While makers are tightlipped about the project, buzz in the industry suggest that the team is aiming to take the project on floors n January 2021.

Earlier reports suggested that Varun's ABCD 3 costar Shraddha Kapoor has bagged the female lead in Bhediya. The makers, however, have zeroed down upon Kriti and the apparent reason for her entry is being said to be the rapport that she shares with producer Dinesh Vijan.
Besides Dilwale, Kriti has also shared screen space with Varun when she appeared in a dance number 'Aira Gaira' for latter's period drama Kalank.
Meanwhile, Varun returns to the screen opposite Sara Ali Khan in the remake of the 1995 hit Coolie No. 1, directed by his father David Dhawan. The film is slated for an OTT release. For Kriti, it's Laxman Utekar's Mimi, which tells the tale of an aspiring actor who ends up being a surrogate for a couple.
