Unfair to blame section of industry for Sushant's death: Sonu Sood

Sonu Sood, the actor who travelled a long path to earn a place in the crowded film industry, has reflected upon the ongoing insiders vs outsiders debate following the tragic death of Sushant Singh Rajput. The Dabangg star said it would be unfair to hold a section of industry responsible for someone's death.

Mumbai: The death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput has initiated a wide discussion on nepotism in the Hindi film industry amongst people. Reflecting upon the debate, actor Sonu Sood, who too have paved his path in the filmdom without any godfather, has said that people should not pounce on someone and hold them responsible for Sushant's death.

While talking about Sushant, Sonu in a recent interview recalled the time when he was struggling to be an actor as he said that no matter how talented you are, it is very difficult to make a mark in the industry for yourself. He also underlined the fact that there are hardly people in the industry who are outsiders and have become successful in the industry.

Rajput's demise has sparked the nepotism debate in Bollywood once again. When asked to express his views on the uproar, Sood said that it is not right to blame one section of the industry for someone’s death.

The Happy New Year star admitted that for an outsider it takes double efforts to navigate the industry. He, however, is aware of the fact that those who are being blamed for Sushant's death are also the people who have given life to a lot of people in the industry.

Sonu, who hails from Moga, a small town located near Punjab's Firozepur-Ludhiana Highway, feels that Sushant’s demise is a huge tragedy. Talking about the misplaced anger among people following the passing of actor Sushant, Sood said people should not play blame games while assuming what pushed him to take his life.
