Hyderabad: Popular Telugu actor Jayaprakash Reddy took his last breath early on Tuesday morning in Guntur. He was 74.
The veteran actor died due to heart attack.
Sudheer Babu, who rose to fame with films like Prema Katha Chitram, Baaghi and Sammohanam, tweeted about Reddy's death.
"Woke up to a terrible news. Rest in peace sir. #JayaprakashReddy," wrote Sudheer on Tuesday.

Speaking about his unfortunate demise, Telugu Desam Party President and Member of Legislative Assembly, Kuppam, N Chandrababu Naidu said that the Telugu cinema has "lost a gem."

Fondly known as JP, the veteran actor had worked alongside several prominent actors in the Telugu film industry. He came into the limelight with the feature film Samarasimha Reddy where he played the role of Veera Raghava Reddy. He played the role of a villain in the hit film Jayam Manade Raa and Chennakesava Reddy. Apart from negative characters, JP also acted in several comedy films.
