Taapsee Pannu announces Thappad release date, shares still on Twitter

Treating fans with her latest tweet, actor Taapsee Pannu declared Thappad release date. The Anubhav Sinha directorial will release in February 2020.

Mumbai: Taapsee Pannu starrer Thappad is all set to hit the big screens on February 20, next year.

After delivering a stellar performance in Mulk, helmed by Anubhav Sinha, the Pink actor has reunited with filmmaker Sinha to deliver yet another hit flick.

Addressing her reunion with the director of the film, she revealed the release date to her fans.

The actor who is still basking in the success of her last outing Saankh Ki Aankh pinned a still from the forthcoming movie on her Twitter handle.

Alongside the photo, she wrote: "#Thappad Reuniting with the man who has taken 'reinventing' to some other level... @anubhavsinha, looking forward to show you all on 28 Feb 2020. Produced by @itsBhushanKumar & @anubhavsinha, Thappad will release on 28 Feb, 2020 @tseries #BenarasMediaWorks."

The forthcoming film is based on a female-oriented subject, defying narratives which typecast women.

Taapsee had been very active on social media throughout the shoot, documenting everything related to the film.

Released on August 3, 2018, Taapsee's first collaboration with Anubhav titled Mulk featured Rishi Kapoor, Prateik Babbar, Rajat Kapoor, Manoj Pahwa and Neena Gupta in pivotal roles.
