Mumbai: Filmmaker Sanoj Mishra has announced a film on Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput who died on June 14. Titled Sushant, Sanoj has clarified that it is not a biopic, unlike director Nikhil Anand's upcoming flick on the late actor.

Sanoj said that it is the story of strugglers who reach Mumbai in the hope of fulfilling their dreams. "This film will be the story of all those who are forced to take harsh steps in Bollywood due to harassment. This film will be produced under the banner of Road Production and Sanoj Mishra Films and will be shot in Mumbai and Bihar, " he said.

Sanoj also stated that people from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar have returned from Mumbai during the lockdown amid the corona pandemic, adding that it is a golden opportunity to develop the cinema industry in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh.

Last week, filmmaker Vijay Shekhar Gupta had also announced a film titled Suicide or Murder, and also released the first poster of the film.

The biopic on late actor Sushant Singh Rajput will be directed by Nikhil. It will be made in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil languages and the makers plan to release it in 2022.

The yet-untitled project will be financed by common public funding and have an official social media page.

"It is painful to accept the fact that Sushant is no more with us physically. He was an inspiration to every common man who wanted to make it big. He was not only an excellent artist beyond par, but also a great human being along with being an intelligent person. I hope that he is happy wherever he is. My movie on him will be a tribute to him and it's my dream now to make him immortal in the cinematic world. I also hope that it inspires more people to be the part of the industry and a change comes. I hope the negatives lessen and Bollywood gives the talent more preference over nepotism," Nikhil said.

Sushant was found hanging in his Bandra residence on Sunday morning by his domestic help, which left the industry and his fans shocked. He was reportedly battling depression over the past few months and undergoing treatment.
