Hyderabad: National Award-winning filmmaker Nag Ashwin has locked a dream cast for his upcoming multi-lingual film. Ashwin's next will feature megastar Amitabh Bachchan, pan-India star Prabhas and powerhouse talent Deepika Padukone in lead roles. The filmmaker, however, says more than casting it's the story that excites him the most.

Nag Ashwin joined hands with filmmakers Tharun Bhascker, BV Nandini Reddy and Sankalp Reddy to narrate stories about distinctly bold women through the Telugu anthology titled Pitta Kathalu. During promotions of Pitta Kathalu, Nag Ashwin was asked if he feels that he managed to put together a deadly combination as his upcoming film will feature a boast-worthy cast headed by Prabhas, Deepika and Big B. To this, the director said, "I mean it's definitely a dream combination in terms of cast onboard. I definitely like the cast but it's really just the story. Like at the end of the day, these three people doing these three roles in the story is more exciting for me than just the actors."

The multi-lingual film is backed by the South Indian production house Vyjayanthi Movies, popular for projects such as Mahanati, Agni Parvatam and Indra. This is the first time Prabhas collaborates with Big B or Deepika. The two Bollywood stars have earlier worked together in the films Aarakshan and Piku.
The yet-untitled film is slated to release in 2022.
