Mumbai: Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan stayed in a luxurious island hotel in Bangkok, said SSR's former assistant Sabir Ahmed.
Rhea Chakraborty in her first interview with a news channel post Sushant's demise spoke about how he liked to live his life king size and spent around 70 lacs on a Thailand trip with 6 others.
Talking about the same, Sabir, in an interview with a news channel revealed that the trip was for SSR's Pro-team and even Sara was present with them. He added that they all travelled on a private jet.
According to Sabir, Sara accompanied Sushant on the Thailand trip on which he had also taken the members of his Pro-team Kushal Zaveri, Siddharth Gupta, Abbas, Mushtaq including Sabir.
Sabir further added that SSR and Sara were in the same hotel as the others. They all visited the beach only on the first day and for the rest of the trip, SSR-Sara were in the hotel while others explored places. Sabir shared that the Kedarnath co-stars stayed in a luxurious island hotel in Bangkok.

Sabir also rubbished the depression theory and drug angle during his conversation with a news agency.
"I don't understand all this talk about his depression. He was so happy. He had work in his hand, he was never lonely. Why would he suffer from depression? We went on a trip to Thailand, he enjoyed a lot over there. There was nothing about his behaviour that hinted at depression at that time. He used to chat with us a lot and treat his staff as family members. Does a depressed person talk so much?" questioned Sabir.
On August 20, Samuel Haokip, Sushant's friend and a member of his pro team, took to Instagram and open up on the love story between the Kedarnath co-stars, a film that marked Sara's debut in Bollywood. He also speculated whether the Bollywood Mafia played a role in causing their break-up after the release of Sushant's 2019 release Sonchiriya, which failed at the box office.
Samuel's post suggested that the relationship between Sushant and Sara was not a very hushed-hushed affair as his friends, family and staff knew about it.

Sushant was found dead in his rental duplex flat in Mont Blanc building in Bandra west on June 14, sparking a furore in Bollywood and political circles with multiple agencies entering the fray.
Initially, the Mumbai Police which registered an accidental death report, had interrogated Rhea, followed by the Enforcement Directorate and now the CBI, with the Narcotics Control Bureau waiting in the queue to probe the drugs angle in the case.
