Mumbai: The release date of the much-anticipated film titled RRR has been postponed until further notice. The film was earlier announced to get a theatrical screening in July 2020.
According to a source close to the team of RRR, the magnum opus will see an October release.
The film to be made in 10 languages is helmed by the Bahubali director SS Rajamouli. The film will star NTR and Ram Charan in the leads alongside Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn.
Film critic and trade analyst Taran Aadarsh gave a hint on the revised date of the film's release. He wrote on Twitter: "#Xclusiv: Guess this one... The big film - being directed by the #Blockbuster director from South India - will have a new release date... According to sources, the biggie will now release in Oct 2020."
Meanwhile, Ray Stevenson, Olivia Morris and Alison Doody have joined the stellar cast of RRR.
The movie is touted to be one of the most awaited releases of 2020. The big-budget flick will feature an ensemble cast including some of the biggest stars in the industry. More than 70 per cent of the movie has already been shot.
Fans are eagerly waiting for the release of the film.
