Chennai: Renowned singer SP Balasubrahmanyam, who is admitted to hospital after testing positive for COVID-19, continues to be on life support while his condition remains stable, said his son, SP Charan.
The popular singer who was admitted to MGM Healthcare with mild Coronavirus infection some days back is now on ventilator and ECMO support.
Now, SP Balasubrahmanyam's son SP Charan has shared an update stating the singer's condition is stable.
"Reports from the hospital have been very uneventful. Which means, dad (SPB) continuing to be stable and on a recovery path. That is a good sign," said Charan.

Thanking doctors and well wishers for their continues love and support, Charan said he is hopeful that his father will pull it through.

"As they say, no news is good news, dad continues to be healthy and he continues to be on a positive path to recovery. Thak you all for your prayers," said Charan before signing off.
The popular playback singer was admitted to the hospital on August 5 after he tested positive for coronavirus and suffered a setback days later, prompting doctors to put him on life support.
On August 20, Tamil actors, directors prayed for the recovery of SP Balasubrahmanyam. The Tamil film fraternity observed one minute silent prayer and then played songs sung by Balasubrahmanyam during a virtual meeting.
