Mumbai: Actor Swara Bhasker recently condemned the incident that took place in Palghar, three men were beaten to death by a group of villagers. She said that it was a shameful reflection of who we are as a society.
She tweeted, "#palghar Highly condemnable! A shameful reflection of who we are as a society. Maybe a time for reflection.. when you breed a culture Violence & normalise mob justice on streets.. it comes home one day... this is a disease in our society allowed to fester & become a monster!"

Barely 125 kilometres from Mumbai, a small village in Maharashtra's Palghar district has reported a horrific case of mob killing; three people who were travelling to Gujarat from Mumbai, including a 70-year-old man, were attacked and killed on Thursday night.

Shocking visuals which went viral showed angry residents of Gadchinchale village, armed with sticks and stones, out of control, attacking the old man and two others. Two of those killed are sadhus, the third was the driver of the car they were travelling in.
