Bengaluru: Bail plea of actors Sanjjanaa Galrani and Ragini Dwivedi in drugs racket case has been pushed to September 21. Sanjjanaa and Ragini's bail plea was adjourned by the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) special court here on Saturday.

The special court has adjourned the bail plea of both the actors to September 21, after the prosecution made an objection to providing the bail for both. Which means they may have to remain in Parapappana Agrahara central prisons till then.

Besides Ragini and Sanjjanaa, the CCB (Central Crime Branch) has already arrested seven others while it is on the lookout for at least seven more. Actor-couple Diganth Manchale and Aindrita Ray were also questioned for four hours on Wednesday by the Central Crime Branch.

On Tuesday, the police raided the lavish resort-bungalow of Aditya Alva, son of former Karnataka Minister late Jeevaraj Alva, in connection with the cases. Alva, who is absconding, allegedly used to host rave parties in his sprawling bungalow spread over four acres overseeing the majestic and scenic Hebbal lake of Bengaluru, police sources had said.

The CCB took up the investigation after the Narcotics Control Bureau recently arrested three people, including a woman, with a huge cache of synthetic drugs.
