Hyderabad: Two days after being admitted to hospital due to fluctuating blood pressure and exhaustion, actor-turned-politician Rajinikanth on Sunday got discharged from Apollo Hospital, Hyderabad. The superstar was welcomed home with an aarti by his wife Latha Rajinikanth.
The Kabali star had been shooting for his upcoming film Annaatthe in Hyderabad for the last few days. The shoot halted after crew members tested positive for COVID-19. While the superstar tested negative, a couple of people from the sets of the film had tested positive for coronavirus, following which he isolated himself and was being monitored closely.

On Sunday, the 70-year-old actor was discharged from Apollo Hospital, where he was admitted on Friday with severe fluctuations in blood pressure. The hospital said the actor was discharged after an improvement in his medical condition. The actor later left for Chennai along with his daughter Aishwarya Dhanush in a chartered flight.
Upon his return to Poes Garden home in Chennai, his wife Latha Rajinikanth welcomed the superstar with an aarti. Need we say the picture is going viral on social media?
The actor, who is expected to launch a political party in January 2021, has been advised to avoid any activity that increases the risk of contracting COVID-19.
