Mumbai: Ritu Nanda, daughter of the iconic actor of Hindi cinema Raj Kapoor, took her last breath on Tuesday morning. She was 71.
Diagnosed with cancer for almost six years, Ritu was reportedly suffering from the deadly disease since 2013.
Her last rites will be performed at the Lodhi Road cremation ground in Delhi at around 1:30 pm.
Her brother and veteran actor Randhir Kapoor has confirmed the news of his sister's death today morning.

Ritu is survived by husband Rajan Nanda, son Nikhil Nanda and daughter Natasha Nanda.
The news of her demise has left the members of the film fraternity in a state of shock.
Rishi Kapoor, his daughter Riddhima and his wife Neetu Kapoor took to social media to pay tribute to the late entrepreneur.
Married to industrialist Rajan Nanda, Ritu happened to be the mother-in-law of Shweta Bachchan, daughter to Amitabh Bachchan.
Daughter of actor-director Raj Kapoor and his wife Krishna, Ritu was born on October 30, 1948, in Mumbai.
