Mumbai: National Award-winning actor Priyamani who has featured in several South Indian film has recently replaced Keerthy Suresh in Ajay Devgn starrer Maidan.
According to sources, Keerthy had shot a few scenes for the upcoming film. After a day's shoot, both the makers of the film and Keerthy felt that she looked too young to portray the role of a mother as she had lost a lot of weight since she signed the project.
Both the parties wanted that an actor should authentically portray the role of a mother as it has been written in the script.
The makers have stayed true and authentic in the way the film is being made by the National award-winning director Amit Ravindernath Sharma who did not want such issues to come in the way.
Taking the decision amicably, Keerthy and the makers have promised to collaborate in future.
Ajay Devgn's much-awaited film Maidaan is based on a true story of the golden years in Indian Football.
