Mumbai: Ahead of the release of Ajay Devgn and Saif Ali Khan starrer Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, the Akhil Bharatiya Kshatriya Koli Rajput Sangh has filed a petition against the film at the Delhi High Court.
The organisation claimed that the director Om Raut has concealed the true lineage of the great warrior Tanaji Malusare in the movie.
The matter which was listed before the court on Friday could not be heard since the presiding judge was on leave. Thus, the hearing date has been postponed to December 19, 2019.
The entire cast and crew are expected to attend the hearing on Thursday as the crucial hearing will decide the fate of the upcoming film.
The historical drama is based on the epic life of a military leader of the Maratha Empire Tanaji Malusare.

Ajay Devgn who is essaying the titular role of Tanaji will be seen reuniting on-screen with his wife Kajol after over a decade. The Baazigar actor will portray the role of Tanaji's wife Savitribai Malusare.
Besides Kajol and Ajay, Saif Ali Khan will be seen essaying the character of the antagonist Udaybhan Rathod.
Apart from them, Jagapathi Babu and Sharad Kelkar will also be seen starring in key roles.
Meanwhile, Ashutosh Gowariker's historical drama Panipat starring Arjun Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt and Kriti Sanon has also landed in trouble as protests against the film continue to roll in Rajasthan and various parts of North India.
Rajasthan tourism minister Vishvendra Singh has sought a total ban on the film.
