Mumbai: Out of sheer gratefulness, a migrant worker from Odisha who was airlifted from Kerala to his hometown, amid the COVID-19 induced lockdown, has named his newly built welding shop after Sonu Sood.
The migrant worker has opened a welding shop at Hatina, a place which is around 140 km far from Bhubaneswar.
Prashant Kumar Pradhan, who worked as a plumber in Kochi, was airlifted by the Dabangg actor to his home in Odisha, along with some fellow migrant workers.
As a mark of respect, the 32-year-old plumber has expressed his gratitude towards Sonu Sood with a sweet gesture.
According to Sood, Prashant reached out to him and took his permission to use his name and picture for the shop.
"I have endorsed so many brands, but this is something special and very close to my heart," said Sonu, further adding that whenever he visits Odisha, he will visit his shop and also try his hand at welding.

Prashant, who had given up his hopes of returning to his home, said: "I was working as a plumber in a company near the Kochi airport. I was earning around Rs 700 per day. After the lockdown, I lost my job and money started drying up."
He failed to manage a seat in the Shramik Special train and got no help from local leaders.
In such a situation, Sonu "appeared as an angel" and helped him and other stranded migrant workers to return to their hometowns.
Sonu, who is receiving countless blessings and wishes on social media, has recently declared to author a book sharing his experience of helping the stranded labourers.
