Mumbai: Actors Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan who had been raising the ante high with their adorable chemistry got numb after they parted ways. The situation got worse when Kartik refused to complete the patchwork of their upcoming film Aaj Kal, unless crucial.
According to sources, the film needed some patchwork but Kartik asked director Imtiaz Ali to avoid the shoot if it wasn't an important scene in the film. If reports are to be believed, Sara and Kartik who once treated fans with adorable pics, don't seem to be in talking terms.
Besides Kartik and Sara, Aaj Kal also features Randeep Hooda in an integral character.
The demands for the film started last year, when the Kedarnath actor revealed on Karan Johar's show that she has a crush on the Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety actor. Premiered last year, the episode had Sara on the show along with her father Saif Ali Khan. What followed was immense speculation and frenzy around the two actors, who were also occasionally spotted hanging out in Mumbai.
Meanwhile, Kartik who was initially in talks for dating Ananya Pandey, is back with her, Kedarnath actor has headed to New York to unwind with her friends.

Besides, Kartik starrer Pati Patni Aur Woh has turned to be his best opening film ever at the box office, breaking the previous record set by Luka Chuppi. It is a remake of the 1978 film with the same name and also features Aparshakti Khurrana in a supporting role.The movie has been directed by Mudassar Aziz and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Renu Ravi Chopra, and Krishan Kumar.
