Mumbai: Actor Emraan Hashmi who visited India Gate on Thursday paid tribute to the brave soldiers at the Amar Jawan Jyoti, New Delhi.
Visiting one of the most iconic landmarks of the country, the Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai actor revealed that he had not been here before.
Giving due respect to the soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the country, Emraan said: "I have shot very close to this place in Delhi, but coming here and commemorating these brave soldiers who have given their lives for us, is something beyond expression."
Recalling moments spent with the BSF personnel a year back, the actor said: "I went to the BSF headquarters last year and seeing these brave men and also women at the border were just overwhelming."
He added: "I remember a lot of women are manning post these days at the border which just makes me proud every day."
The Shanghai actor was joined by the team of Bard of Blood including Sobhita Dhulipala, Kirti Kulhari, Vineet Kumar and director Ribhu Dasgupta.

Besides the actors, thousands of people thronged India Gate to catch a glimpse of the celebrities.
Helmed by Dasgupta, the upcoming web series will mark Emraan's debut on the digital platform.
Giving a glimpse of the Netflix original series, the actor said: "The show is set against the backdrop of the Indian subcontinent. The multi-lingual series will tell the story of an expelled RAW agent, Kabir Anand which is played by me, who goes on an unsanctioned mission to Baluchistan to save 4 Indian agents captured by the Taliban. So basically it's high on thrills, action and suspense."
Based on Bilal Siddiqi's novel that goes by the same name, the thriller web series will stream on September 27, 2019, in Hindi, Urdu and English among other languages.
