Interestingly, the news of Deepika and Prabhas sharing screen space has come as surprise to many as the Telugu actor had apparently turned down the role of Duryodhana in Deepika starrer Mahabharat. The mythology drama will be a retelling of the ancient epic from Draupadi's point of view with Deepika playing the lead.
Meanwhile, Coming up next for Prabhas is Telugu film Radhe Shyam. Directed by Radha Krishna Kumar, the film also stars Pooja Hegde in lead role. Recently released poster of the film that shows Prabhas and Pooja in an embrace with waves crashing around them in a fiery landscape had gone viral on social media within 24 hours of its launch.
Fans of the Telugu superstar showered the new poster with much love, and it garnered over 6.3 million tweets within a day.
Deepika will be seen opposite her husband, actor Ranveer Singh in 83. She is also a part of Shakun Batra's next. Hindi remake of The Intern and Mahabharat are the two projects for which the actor will also be donning producer's hat.
