Four years after the launch of Live Love Laugh Foundation, the Piku actress launched her lecture series to battle critical mental health conditions.

Mumbai: Surpassing the period of anxiety and depression, actress Deepika Padukone launched her first lecture series on mental health on Sunday.

During the launch event, the Padmaavat actress revealed that the lecture series will witness people from different professions from various parts of the world who are passionate about mental health and who will take us through their journey and experiences.

Speaking about her new venture, 33-year-old said: "It's been four years to Live Love Laugh Foundation and today we launched our first lecture series and I think we have come a long way."

Battling her biggest struggle for a significant period of her life, the actor stated: "I think the conversation has really opened up and there is less stigma about mental health than there used to be four years ago, but certainly we have a long way to go in terms of awareness and that's why we really need to keep the conversation alive."

The founder of Live Love Laugh Foundation expressed gratitude towards the media fraternity for the effective role in starting the conversation about mental health.

Talking more about it, Deepika said: "I think as far as the conversation about mental health is concerned, we have come a long way. And I think media has a huge role to play in that. Especially by opening up the conversation in various ways, whether through interviews, write-ups or articles."

In other news, the Bajirao Mastani actress is busy filming Meghna Gulzar's Chhapaak. Besides this, the actress will be essaying the role of Kapil Dev's wife in the sports biopic 83.
