Chhapaak trailer reminds me of Rangoli's acid attack, says Kangana

Kangana Ranaut's sister Rangoli Chandel shared a video where Kangana can be seen giving her view on Chhapaak's trailer. Mumbai: After Deepika Padukone starrer Chhapaak's trailer got released, actor Kangana Ranaut and sister Rangoli Chandel got back to some unpleasant memories of an attack that changed Rangoli's life.

Rangoli shared a video on her Twitter handle where Kangana can be seen giving her view on Chhapaak's trailer. "The pain still lingers. Our family thanks team #chhapaak for a story that needs to be told! @deepikapadukone @meghnagulzar @foxstarhindi," she tweeted.

The Manikarnika actor revealed that the trailer reminded her and family of the acid attack that took place on Rangoli. The Queen actor thanked Deepika and Meghna for making a film on acid violence.

Kangana also prayed and hoped that in the new year, the sale of acid is stopped and situations get better in the society. She also stated that the flick is a tight slap on the faces of the perpetrators.

When the trailer of the film was launched, Rangoli had shared how it reminded her of her own story and mentioned that it is a story that needs to be told.

Chhapaak is based on the story of Laxmi Agarwal, the most known acid attack survivor. Deepika has been promoting the film and looks like Kangana and her sister have extended their warm wishes to team Chhapaak with the video.

The film also stars Vikrant Massey and with Chhapaak, Deepika is also turning a producer. The film is slated to hit the screens on January 10.
