Hyderabad: Babil Khan has been sharing unseen pictures and videos and precious memories of his father Irrfan on social media. As tomorrow will mark Irrfan's first death anniversary, Babil has revealed one of the last things Irrfan had told him while he was in the hospital.

On dealing with the irreversible loss, Babil in an interview sitting beside his mother Sutapa Sikder has said that he is "good with writing than personal interaction." He is all set to follow in his father's footsteps to become an actor. Babil will be making his acting debut in Anushka Sharma's next production venture Qala for Netflix.

Speaking to a leading film critic, Babil spoke about how he was living in a bubble, being Irrfan Khan's son and then that bubble burst suddenly and he did not "expect that bubble to burst so soon."

Revealing one of the last conversations he had with his ailing father, Babil said, "I was there in the hospital, two-three days before he died. He was losing consciousness and one of the last things he said...he just looked at me, smiled and said 'I am going to die' and I told him 'No you are not'. He then smiled again and went back to sleep."

Irrfan, who passed away last year in Mumbai at the age of 53 after a two-year battle with neuroendocrine tumour, earned global recognition with his work in projects such as The Warrior, The Namesake, Slumdog Millionaire, The Amazing Spider-Man, Life Of Pi, Jurassic World and Inferno. He was admitted to Kokilaben Hospital, Mumbai, a few days before he died on April 29 last year.
