Mumbai: Actor Ayush Sharma and Arpita Khan Sharma on Wednesday announced that the couple are expecting their second child. The couple who tied their knot in November 2014 made the revelation on the green carpets of IIFA 2019.
Speaking about the arrival of their second baby, Ayush said: "The new arrival is always very exciting. Yes, Arpita and me are expecting a second baby, and ours has been such an amazing journey. It starts all over again and we just can’t wait for the baby to come."
Aayush and Arpita became proud parents of their three-year-old son, Ahil in 2016.
On the sidelines of the program, sister to Salman Khan Arpita exclaimed that she is excited to witness Ayush's performance at the IIFA awards this year since she had seen Salman performing at the event several times.
Speaking about his performance at the mega event, an overwhelmed Ayush revealed: "I'm excited, I'm nervous. This is my first time in IIFA so I hope I do a decent job."
On asking about celebrating festivals irrespective of the religion, Ayush stated: "I think the whole idea of the country is to be secular and the basic spirit of India. We celebrate all religions. We celebrate Christmas, we celebrate Eid, we celebrate Diwali and Holi and all the festivals we have. And that's what the family is all about."

When asked if the actor still received tips from Salman, the actor wittily replied that since it has been a year of his journey in Bollywood no tips from Bhaijaan's end has crossed his way.
Earlier in an interview with a news portal, Ayush revealed that Arpita and him met three years ago in Mumbai through common friends and then lost touch for a bit. "We rekindled our friendship about a year ago, and it grew into love! I was bowled over by her craziness," he added.
On the work front, Ayush who made his Bollywood debut in 2018 with Loveyatri will soon be seen opposite to Katrina Kaif’s sister Isabella Kaif in her debut film Kwatha.
