Anu Malik trolled for 'not sparing' Israeli National anthem to copy tune for Diljale

Music composer Anu Malik, who is not new to plagiarism allegations, is being trolled on social media. According to netizens, the music composer has apparently lifted the tune of Israeli National Anthem to create one of the songs for Ajay Devgn's 1996 released film Diljale.

Hyderabad: Bollywood music composer Anu Malik who has created music for more than 400 films and has several awards to his credit is also infamous for creations bearing uncanny resemblance with the tunes of various artists across the globe. And for the same reason, the Main Hoon Na music composer is being trolled on Twitter.

Netizens are roasting the 60-year-old composer after listening to Israel's national anthem that was played at the ongoing Tokyo Olympics on Sunday. When Israeli gymnast Artem Dolgopyat won Israel's second gold medal in the Olympics who knew that the national anthem would open floodgates of trolls for Malik who according to netizens copied the tune to create Mera Mulk Mera Desh for Ajay Devgn's 1996 released film Diljale.

Though plagiarism allegations are not new for Anu Malik, being accused of lifting a country's national anthem has only proved the earlier claims right. Slamming Malik for allegedly copying a tune more than decades before, a user wrote, "So, Anu Malik didn't spare even Israeli national anthem while copying tune for Diljale's Mera Mulk Mera Desh in 1996. Thanks to the internet we now know this," tweeted a user while another wrote: "The National anthem tune has some familiarity to the Indian song... Mera Mulk Mera Desh? Or is it just me?"
