Mumbai: Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja entered the wedlock after dating for two years in May 2018. However, they had to wait for nearly 13 months to realise their honeymoon plan and make memories for life.
On May 6, 2018, Anil Kapoor's house here buzzed with celebrities and festivities as his daughter and actor Sonam wedding revelry kickstarted with a mehendi ceremony which was followed by chooda ceremony and sangeet on the following day.
The wedding proceedings were closely guarded as even Sonam had arrived at the venue in a car with curtains hiding her look from media. Sonam had opted a traditional bright red lehenga with heavy jewellery for her wedding day as she tied the knot with Delhi-based businessman Anand Ahuja on the beautiful morning of May 8.

While most couples jet off to some exotic locations to enjoy some personal time, Sonam and Anand shifted their focus from the hangover of the elaborate wedding celebrations to their respective professional lives.
In less than a week of her marriage, Sonam had jetted off to French Riviera minus husband Anand, where she was to walk the Cannes red carpet. Sonam looked drop dead gorgeous with henna-clad hands and glow of a newlywed on her face.
When she returned, promotions of Veere Di Wedding were awaiting her. The actor took no time off and headed for the promotions of the film, once again setting a good example for young girls who aspire to have the best of both worlds. Of course, which is hard to achieve without the support of the significant other. Looking at the four years of their journey, Sonam has apparently got lucky here as she continues to get support of her businessman husband in all her endeavours.

The couple who has apparently achieved harmony in their relationship, finally, went on their honeymoon in June of 2019. The couple opted for Japan as their honeymoon destination and Sonam had let the world know through social media that she "had best time of life" with her best friend who also happens to be her husband in Japan.
The actor has always maintained that Anand is her "cheerleader" and "luck mascot" in life. While Anand has referred his actor wife as "guiding star."
