Hyderabad: Bollywood diva Deepika Padukone and filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali shared mutual respect and admiration for each other for having worked in multiple films together. But their relationship is reportedly not the same anymore as there is an unsaid cold war brewing between the two.
In 2018, when Padmaavat released and took the box office by storm, Bhansali had declared that he is looking forward to many collaborations with Deepika. Calling her "jaan" and "fabulous" actor the filmmaker had said that he is not "done with her yet." But two years from then their equation seems to have changed.

According to a webloid report, the reason behind Deepika and SLB's punctured rapport is the actor turning down few offers from her Bajirao Mastani director. SLB reportedly offered Deepika a dance number in Gangubai Kathiawadi, however, the actor denied the offer. Not only that, when SLB once again approached Deepika for a key role in Heera Mandi or a dance number in the web show, the actor refused it too.
While the rejection seems to have caused misunderstandings between her and SLB, the future of filmmaker's dream project Baiju Bawra with Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Deepika in lead roles seems bleak as of now.
