Hyderabad: Bollywood actors Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh are gearing up to star in an upcoming love story directed by Karan Johar.
Karan will be returning to the director's chair after helming Ae Dil Hai Mushkil starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The filmmaker will be helming yet another love story for which he has locked Alia and Ranveer for playing the lead.
Interestingly, the untitled drama will mark Ranveer and KJo's maiden collaboration while Alia will be reuniting with Dharma Productions after the 2019 release Kalank. Except for the genre, details about the project are currently being kept under the wraps.

While the buzz around KJo's romantic drama featuring Alia and Ranveer is getting louder, the actors were actually signed up for Johar's ambitious project Takht which was announced a while ago. However, the period drama seems to have been put on a back burner. The multi-starrer also stars Anil Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar and Janhvi Kapoor in pivotal roles.
Meanwhile, the Government has announced a fresh set of guidelines for cinema theatres, allowing 100 per cent occupancy from Monday but with strict COVID-19 protocols. All eyes are now on the several productions lined up, particularly 83 starring Ranveer and Alia's Brahmastra with Ranbir Kapoor.
