Mumbai: As the legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan was honoured by the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke award on Sunday, son Abhishek Bachchan showered praises for his father.
Hopping on to social media, he penned a congratulatory post for the "inspiration" and "hero" of his life.
The 43- year-old actor took to Instagram to post a picture of Big B.
In the picture, the 77-year-old actor is seen sitting upright donning an insulated jacket and posing happily for the camera.
Alongside the photo, he wrote: "My inspiration. My hero. Congratulations Pa on the Dadasahab Phalke award. We are all so, so proud of you. Love you."

The father-son bonding had been a hit in the film industry since in 2009 the duo shared screen-space for the family entertainer titled Paa.
The legendary actor was conferred with the highest honour in the film industry by President Ram Nath Kovind for his tireless and outstanding contribution to the world of cinema.
Senior Bachchan has received four National Film Awards for his roles in Agneepath, Black, Paa and Piku.

Earlier, the legendary actor was honoured with Padma Vibhushan, the country's second-highest civilian honour, in 2015.
The actor, who made his acting debut in 1969 with Saat Hindustani, was last seen onscreen in Badla.
On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan has a list of interesting projects lined up. He has Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra where will be featuring alongside Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor.
Next up is Shoojit Sircar's Gulabo Sitabo. The film also stars Ayushmann Khurrana.
