Aamir Khan has called off the Ladakh shooting schedule for his upcoming film Laal Singh Chaddha amid India-China border stand-off. The makers are reportedly considering to shoot remainder in Kargil.

Mumbai: Superstar Aamir Khan, who has excessively shot his upcoming film Laal Singh Chaddha in Punjab, was to shoot some major sequences in Ladakh. The schedule, however, is being called off due to a violent face-off between Indian and Chinese troops in East Ladakh.

Khan had been shooting his much-awaited flick Laal Singh Chaddha in various parts of the country before the shooting came to a halt due to lockdown in India amid coronavirus outbreak. According to reports, the makers had plans to shoot some crucial scenes in Ladakh but now have resorted to Kargil keeping in mind the situation after India - China clash in the Galwan valley.

"Given the current scenario, shooting in Ladakh is out of the question. So, Aamir, Advait Chandan (film's director) and the top brass at the studio are considering shifting the venue to Kargil. The final call will be taken in the coming weeks," a leading webloid has quoted a source close to the project saying,

Earlier, the film has been shot in Delhi, Rajasthan, Chandigarh, Amritsar, and Kolkata.

Before COVID-19 brought the world to a standstill, Laal Singh Chaddha was scheduled to hit the big screens on Aamir's prefered Christmas season. The superstar who is also the co-producer of the film is reportedly looking for other dates as they are yet to wrap the film which in the current scenario might take more time than assumed.

Laal Singh Chaddha is a Hindi adaptation of the 1994 Tom Hanks blockbuster Forrest Gump. The Bollywood version is directed by Advait and also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Mona Singh.
