29 years of SRK: King Khan replies to fan queries about film with Rajkumar Hirani

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who has been working in Hindi cinema for close to three decades, on Friday said he is "overwhelmed" by the love his fans and followers have shown him over the years. The actor engaged in a fun interactive session with fans on Twitter and also replied to queries regarding his highly speculated film with director Rajkumar Hirani.

Hyderabad: Known as King Khan of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan completed nearly three decades in Hindi cinema as today marks the 29th release anniversary of his debut film Deewana which released in 1992. To mark the occasion, SRK interacted with fans on Twitter in an online session titled "#asksrk"on Friday. From queries about his upcoming film to seeking advice to overcome heartbreak, the fans of SRK bombarded him with a variety of questions on Twitter.

On Friday morning, SRK invited fans with a tweet: "This could be the earliest #AskSrk I am doing. If like me you all are awake early let’s have a 15 minutes conversation. Love srk." Soon, fans were flooding the actor with questions, as a result the hashtag #AskSRK started trending on Twitter.

During the chat, a fan asked, "What's your current state of mind? #AskSRK", the superstar replied saying, "Like the Mumbai rain." Another user asked about his health and he said, "Not as amazing as John Abraham but holding my own…ha ha"

Fans also asked SRK about the status of his film with Rajkumar Hirani to which the actor replied, "Just going to call him and request him….he sleeps late!!"

A user also sought advice from SRK on how to deal with heartbreak and the King of Romance said, "You can never overcome it….keep it as a memory and learn from the sadness will make u stronger."

The 55-year-old star started his acting journey with television shows Fauji and Circus before making a spectacular film debut with Deewana in 1992. The superstar has since featured in blockbusters and critical hits like Chamatkar, Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman, Darr, Baazigar, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Dil To Pagal Hai, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Devdas, Swades, Kal Ho Naa Ho, Chak De! India, Main Hoon Na, My Name is Khan and Chennai Express.

In a Twitter post in the wee hours of Friday, Khan expressed gratitude to his fans for their unending love and support throughout his career. Reflecting on his career, the actor said he spent more than half his life trying to entertain the audience. "Been working. Just saw the 'overwhelmed ness' of the love of nearly 30 years you are showering on me here. Realised it's more than half my life in the service of hoping to entertain you all.

In recent years, Khan was on sabbatical following the lackluster performance of his 2018 movie Zero. He recently started shooting for his upcoming movie, reportedly titled Pathan. The actor is reportedly also in talks with South director Atlee for their upcoming projects.
