Two Chambal dacoits nabbed for killing person over past rivalry in Rajasthan

A 32-year-old man was murdered by two most wanted dacoits of the Chambal ravines in Rajasthan's Dholpur. The assailants have been arrested by Rajasthan police today.

Dholpur: Two of the most wanted dacoits of Chambal ravines, Jagan Gurjar's wife Komera Gurjar and another accomplice were arrested on Sunday, for killing a 32-year-old man in Rajasthan's Dholpur over past enmity. The deceased person has been identified as Sanjeev Koli of Tilua village of the district.

According to sources, the incident took place on April 21 late night when Sanjeev was returning to his village. Suddenly, one, Jindel Gurjar fired several rounds of bullets at him and he died on the spot.

Speaking to media persons, Dholpur SP, Mridul Kachhava said, "In 2014, Komera's brother Ramu Gurjar was murdered by some miscreants of Koli community in Bari town and police had arrested some persons of Gurjar community in connection with it. In order to avenge the murder of her brother, Komesh conspired to kill the Sanjeev Koli."

"We have arrested Jindel Gurjar and Komera Gurjar today. Preliminary investigation suggested past enmity to be the reason behind the murder. We will interrogate them for more information about other members of their gang. Most wanted criminal, Jagan Gurjar has also connection with the sensational murder of Sanjeev and we are also interrogating him. The investigation is underway to nab other accused persons in this regard," he added.
