Video showed Reffet taking off from a standstill on a dock at the Dubai Marina, the first time such a flight had taken place from the ground without the need of an elevated platform.
The stunt on February 14 was organised by XDubai and Expo 2020, a culture exhibition to be hosted by the city-state later starting in October.
