In the latest 'Jetman Dubai' stunt, Vince Reffet took to the skies wearing a jet engine-powered wing as part of a project aimed at pioneering human flight. The carbon fibre suit is capable of flying at speeds of up to 400kph.

Dubai: A pilot soared above Dubai wearing a jet engine-powered wing as part of a project aimed at pioneering human flight.

Vince Reffet took to the skies in the latest 'Jetman Dubai' stunt, performing a loop at an altitude of 1,800m (5,900ft), according to extreme sports company XDubai.

Video showed Reffet taking off from a standstill on a dock at the Dubai Marina, the first time such a flight had taken place from the ground without the need of an elevated platform.

The stunt on February 14 was organised by XDubai and Expo 2020, a culture exhibition to be hosted by the city-state later starting in October.
