Paris: French President Emmanuel Macron said on Tuesday that Europe stood in unity and solidarity with Ireland as uncertainty over Britain's departure from the bloc continued.
At a joint news conference with visiting Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar, Macron said the British Parliament's three-time rejection of the withdrawal agreement and other alternatives put to votes at the House of Commons, signalled a no deal Brexit.
He said Europe couldn't continue to be "held hostage" by the political crisis in Britain.
