Italy's 158th unity anniversary was celebrated on Sunday. The Italian air force's acrobatics team flew over the Piazza Venezia in Rome with trails of red, white and green smoke to represent the colours of the Italian flag.

Rome: The Italian air force's acrobatics team flew over the Piazza Venezia in Rome on Sunday to celebrate the 158th anniversary of Italy's unity.

Italy's special unit air force "Frecce Tricolori"

The special unit "Frecce Tricolori" planes flew with trails of red, white and green smoke to represent the colours of the Italian flag.

The ceremony was attended by Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte and the President of the Italian Senate, Maria Elisa Alberti Casellati, who left a floral wreath in front of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
