"I'm here today because it is absolutely urgent that our government takes action against the carbon emissions and that it circulates to all of us in the country the real facts about the climate emergency. I'm here because I care about the environment, because I know that there is only a 12-year window before the climate goes out of control, and that is agreed on by the top scientists of the world. I am here for my children, my grandchildren, for your grandchildren and for people all over the world whose lives are going to be devastated by the climate change that is already under way and is going to only get worse unless action is taken."
