Cologne: A newborn elephant at the Cologne Zoo was named "Leev Ma Rie" (Dear Ma Rie) on Friday.
The name is derived from the carnival hit "Leev Marie" (Dear Marie), a song composed by a local band.
Baby elephant explores enclosure at Cologne Zoo
The elephant cow was born last week on June 17.
She is in good health and already weighs 100 kilograms, according to the zoo.
