Hanoi: Meet the 'corona' burger, with a bun crowned with spikes mimicking images of the COVID-19 virus under the microscope.
The buns have a hue of green from fresh spinach juice mixed into the dough - to add colour and a hint of extra nutrition.
"It takes more time and ingredients to make the 'Corona' burger but we keep the price low, as it is a new product," says Hoang Tung, the owner of the Hanoi Pizza Home restaurant in Hanoi.
"But more importantly, we want to spread joy and positivity in this tough time for everyone."
The idea was inspired from a request by Tung's 10 year-old son, who asked him to do something "fun" about the virus because he was tired of bad news.
The burger comes with beef and chicken options and costs 65,000 VND ($2.70).
Since it made its debut on the menu on Tuesday, the restaurant has had almost 100 orders for the corona burger.

Tung also hopes this new creation will boost his sales, which have been badly affected since the COVID-19 outbreak hit Vietnam at the end of January.
For most people, the new coronavirus causes mild or moderate symptoms, such as fever and cough that clear up in two to three weeks. For some, especially older adults and people with existing health problems, it can cause more severe illness, including pneumonia and death.
