No injuries reported in fire at Manila building

A fire raged through the top floors of a 21-storey residential building in the Philippine capital, Manila. More than 100 firetrucks were deployed to battle the blaze at the Pacific Coast Plaza condominium in the Tambo area.

Manila: A fire raged through the top floors of a 21-storey residential building in the Philippine capital, Manila, on Monday.

Firefighters managed to guide residents to safety and no serious injuries were reported.

More than 100 firetrucks were deployed to battle the blaze at the Pacific Coast Plaza condominium in the Tambo area.

One lane of a coastal road along Manila Bay had to be closed because of falling debris.

The fire was brought under control in about three hours.

The cause of the blaze was under investigation.
