Washington: Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, who on a three-day visit to the US, has requested President Donald Trump to mediate the decades-long Kashmir conflict between India and Pakistan.
Khan requested Trump to look into the issue during a White House meeting.
"I will be asking President Trump. The United States is the most powerful country in the world and It can play the most important role in bringing peace in the subcontinent," Khan said.
"You know they are over, well over a billion and a quarter people in the subcontinent. They are held hostage to the issue of Kashmir. And I feel that only the most powerful state headed by President Trump can bring the two countries together."
