Hyderabad: The coronavirus pandemic has infected more than 3,24,08,504 and killed over 9,87,724 people across the world. More than 2,39,24,977 people have recovered so far.
The US is the worst-hit country with cases more than 71,85,471 and fatalities over 2,07,538.
Britain has the highest death toll in Europe, with nearly 42,000 confirmed dead. The rise in cases announced Thursday reflects both the spread of the virus and increased testing, which has more than doubled since the peak of the first wave in April and May.
India comes in second place in terms of cases with more than 58,16,103, while the country's death toll crossed 92,317.
