Hyderabad: The coronavirus pandemic has infected more than 78,55,400 and killed over 4,31,728 people across the world. More than 40,19,469 people have recovered so far.
Another 181 COVID-19 patients have died in Britain as of Friday afternoon, bringing the total coronavirus-related death toll in the country to 41,662, the British Department of Health and Social Care said on Saturday.
The figures include deaths in all settings, including hospitals, care homes, and the wider community.
South Korea has confirmed 34 more coronavirus cases in a continuation of an upward trend in new infections, mostly in the densely populated Seoul region.

The Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Sunday that 30 of the 34 new cases are in the greater Seoul area, where half of the country’s 51 million people live.

The agency says South Korea has now recorded 12,085 virus cases. It says 10,718 have recovered, 1,090 remain in treatment and the other 277 died.
For most people, the new coronavirus causes mild or moderate symptoms, such as fever and cough that clear up in two to three weeks.
For some, especially older adults and people with existing health problems, it can cause more severe illness, including pneumonia and death.
