Hyderabad: The coronavirus pandemic has infected more than 23,31,892 and killed over 1,60,763 people across the world. More than 5,97,194 people have recovered so far.
Turkey’s health minister said Saturday that 121 more people have died of COVID-19, with total deaths standing at 1,890.
Besides, 3,783 more people were infected with the coronavirus in Turkey mounting the total number of confirmed infections is 82,329.
South Korea has reported eight more cases of the coronavirus over the past 24 hours, the first time for a daily jump in the country to drop to a single digit in about two months.
The Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says the additional figures released Sunday took the country’s total to 10,661 with 234 deaths.
The virus spreads by microscopic droplets from coughs or sneezes.

For most people, the coronavirus causes mild or moderate symptoms, such as fever and cough that clear up in two to three weeks.
For some, especially older adults and people with existing health problems, it can cause more severe illness including pneumonia and death. The vast majority of people recover.
