Hyderabad: The coronavirus pandemic has infected more than 9,35,957 and killed over 47,245 people across the world. Nearly 1,94,286 people have recovered so far.
The new coronavirus causes mild or moderate symptoms for most people. For some, especially older adults and people with existing health problems, it can cause more severe illness or death.

New York's COVID-19 death count more than doubled in 72 hours to 1,941.
One month after New York discovered its first infection — a health care worker returning from Iran — the state tallied more than 83,000 positive cases. The 1,941 deaths were up from 965 Sunday morning. New York logged its first virus-related death on March 13, an 82-year-old woman with emphysema.
